MSc eHealth Program

Admission Requirements

These criteria cannot be waived.

These are Minimum Requirements and meeting them does not guarantee admittance.

  • Undergraduate Degree
    • Successful completion a four-year Honours Bachelor’s degree with at least a B+ (or the equivalent grade point average) in the final year.
    • Applicants currently completing the final stages of a bachelor’s degree can be considered. Undergraduate degree completion, meeting the minimum grade point average, would be a condition on the applicant’s offer to join the eHealth MSc program.
  • English Language Proficiency
    • A minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 100. The IELTS minimum is 7.0 total.  TOEFL and IELTS scores are valid for 2 years.
    • Applicants are exempt from this requirement if they have completed a university degree at an accredited university where English is the language of instruction and evaluation. For universities outside North America, a clear statement on your transcripts or a letter from the institution confirming the language of instruction and evaluation is English must be included when you submit your application.
  • Computer Science Requirement
    • A background in computer science is NOT required to apply to or get accepted into the program.


PLEASE NOTE

All students accepted into the program will be required to complete LinkedIn Learning courses before the program starts in September.  Students will receive a link to these courses from the Program Administrator upon acceptance. These LinkedIn Learning courses provide students with some foundational programming and data science concepts and terminology.

You may be EXEMPT from taking these LinkedIn Learning courses if you meet one of these options:

  1. You have completed and can provide a certificate of completion for the 2 Udacity courses listed below OR
  2. You have completed and can provide a certificate of completion for the Coursera course listed below OR
  3. You have completed and can provide transcripts for similar courses taken at a university or college. One course must be in a programming language (e.g. C++, Java, Python, etc.) and one course must be in database design or data structures and algorithms.
