The eHealth program’s interdisciplinary approach exposes students to coursework, projects, and research that will help students discover areas of eHealth that they find compelling. Course work allows students to explore diverse topics, from healthcare reform and transformation, to security and privacy of information, to wearable technologies and health system efficiency.
Broad course content allows students to view challenges and opportunities through the lens of multiple disciplines.

At eight months, McMaster’s eHealth MSc internship is the longest of any comparable program.
As the bridge between the classroom and the workplace, the internship is the perfect opportunity for students to refine healthcare knowledge, business and tech skills, and research interests.
The internship experience is central to the learning process, providing contact time well beyond most probationary periods for full-time work. It’s an opportunity for students to explore areas of interest, develop insights and potential partners for research, and build a network of professional contacts and collaborators.
Our internship program is well supported by a variety of public and private employers in the Hamilton, Toronto, and surrounding areas. Opportunities are not confined to this region, however. Many students find internships in their hometowns, other provinces, and further afield.
Graduate programs are intensive incubators where lasting personal and professional relationships often develop. They are about broadening horizons, building foundations for research, and fostering lasting collaborations.
McMaster’s eHealth MSc will expose students to classmates from diverse professional, academic, and international backgrounds. In class, students will use the inquiry approach to explore theoretical concepts related to digital health and health informatics.
