MSc eHealth Program

Part-Time (Course-Based)

  • 8 one-term courses
  • Development and presentation of a capstone project
  • Complete your degree within 5 years

Please Note: academic requirements for the part-time program are the same as as those for the full-time, course-based option except:

  • No internship is required
  • No funding is currently available for part-time students
  • You have up to 5 years to complete the program on a part-time basis
  • Although night classes and virtual classes are available, flexibility to attend classes during the day will be required

Courses

Successful completion of 8 one-term graduate courses (4 required plus 4 electives).

The required courses are:

  • Statistics for eHealth
  • Fundamentals of eHealth and the Canadian Healthcare System
  • Management Issues in eHealth
  • Modern Software Technology for eHealth

Choose four elective courses from a list of approved electives.

Please Note: At least two of your electives must be level 700 courses.

Capstone Course

The eHealth MSc capstone course provides students with the opportunity to tackle projects that reflect real-world healthcare challenges, by applying the knowledge and skills they gain from their courses and personal work experiences.

Spanning 2 terms of the program with online and in-person sessions, students will individually or in a group (maximum 4 students) develop a proposal, research and ideate possible solutions, and showcase their achievements in a culminating event.

Through this process, students demonstrate acquisition of the required skills employers expect from eHealth MSc graduates.

Timing

All new part-time students start the program in the Fall Term (September).

Part-time students may only take one course per term.

There are 3 terms throughout the year.

FALL September to December
WINTER January to April
SPRING May to August
